Biography

Professor Dr. M. Aktaruzzaman has been leading the department of Computer Science and Engineering of Islamic University, Bangladesh as head of this Department since March, 2020. He has completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Milan, Italy. Prof. Aktaruzzaman has achieved the prestigious Chancellor Gold Medal for securing the highest marks in his graduate level in the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology. He has published a number of research works in some famous journals of IEEE Transactions, Springer, and Elsevier publishers. He is a member of IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, and IEEE EMBS. He is an associate editor of the journal of Sleep Medicine and Disorder. He was an editorial board member of the Journal of Applied Science and Technology, vol.8, 2019. Professor Aktaruzzaman works in research collaboration with different International research groups of the University of Milan, Fasa University of Iran, King Saud University of Saudi Arabia, and the Deakin University of Australia. He is the reviewer for Biomedical signal processing, Medical Biological Engineering and Computing, Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, Physiological Measurements, Entropy, and Ambient Intelligence in Humanized System
